Our Company

CS Genetics is developing pathbreaking new technology for genomics, based on foundational scientific insights and sophisticated conceptual innovations in sequencing techniques. Our work will accelerate basic biologic research and enable lifesaving new clinical diagnostics. We have an extremely skilled team, a large global intellectual property estate, and amongst the most inventive, ambitious technology roadmaps in life science.

We are developing a radically-new, instrument-free platform for single-cell sequencing with disruptive throughput and experimental ease. We’re growing our Cambridge Bioinformatics and Software team to help launch a new era of cellular analysis for research and medicine.

Position Summary

We are building our Software team from scratch and are looking for an exceptional Lead Software Developer to build, lead and manage it. The Software team will be charged with developing and building a cutting-edge software suite (both standalone and web-based) to support and facilitate CS Genetics’ genomics-technology products, and to serve as high-powered internal infrastructure to advance our ongoing R&D activities. This is an exceptional opportunity to develop a suite of software tools that disrupts how genomic data is analyzed and presented to a diverse array of customers. CS Genetic’s technology changes the way in which scientists analyze and study cells at the single cell level. As the software team lead, you will be instrumental in defining our product development path and how we empower our customers to make the most of our cutting-edge products.

The ideal candidate will be a rigorous, analytical and organized professional with significant experience in designing, developing, and maintaining production software. They will be familiar with modern web and Cloud technologies. They will also have experience managing development teams using Agile methodologies. Our Lead Software Developer will be routinely interacting with our genomics R&D team (including computational biologists and experimental scientists) to collect requirements and create state-of-the-art, user-friendly software tools. As CS Genetics’ product lines mature and evolve, candidates in this position will be exposed to a variety of new technologies and will be asked to develop new tools to support and accelerate our cutting-edge R&D efforts. This multifaceted role will report to our Director of Bioinformatics and Software.
