CS Genetics is developing pathbreaking new technology for genomics, based on foundational scientific insights and sophisticated conceptual innovations in sequencing techniques. Our work will accelerate basic biologic research and enable lifesaving new clinical diagnostics. We have an extremely skilled team, a large global intellectual property estate, and amongst the most inventive, ambitious technology roadmaps in life science.
We are developing a radically-new, instrument-free product for single-cell sequencing with disruptive throughput and experimental ease. We are growing our Cambridge Bioinformatics team to help launch a new era of cellular analysis for research and medicine.
Position Summary
We are looking for a creative and dynamic individual to join our Bioinformatics team to develop and support CS Genetics’ end-to-end bioinformatics pipelines for both our internal R&D needs and external users. The ideal candidate will combine experience in NGS data analysis with an interest in developing robust, reproducible informatic tools. A key focus of this role is to work across multiple teams, requiring the ideal candidate to possess excellent communication skills. This bioinformatics scientist will be routinely interacting with our internal R&D team to facilitate further technology development through pipeline improvements.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly innovative single cell technology and have direct influence on product development within a highly dynamic R&D team. You will be instrumental in guiding the development of these pipelines from initial concept through to a fully automated streamlined process. As part of a small, highly-performing team you will have the opportunity to see how start-ups build and commercialise novel genomic approaches. You will have access to all the tools you need to build sophisticated analytical pipelines, develop new technical and professional skills and grow your career quickly. This role would suit candidates with various potential backgrounds, such as recent masters level or PhD graduates with an appropriate background wanting to move into a high growth start-up environment, or an experienced computational biologist who wants a new challenge with a great new technology.
